Horse Riding - Introduction

A horse riding excursion can be a wonderful way to take in the spectacular surroundings near to Victoria Falls. We will take you along wth our knowledgeable guide on a tour of the upper river where you can see on occasion a wonderful variety of game in the area. Hippos, zebra and girakke can be seen along with crocodiles and prolific birdlife. If you feel like slowing the pace of life down, this is the perfect way to enjoy a morning on your vacation in Livingstone.

Your Horse Riding Trip

The horse riding trails take place through pristine African Bushveld with exceptional views of the Victoria Falls and Zambezi River. Buffalo, zebra, giraffe and hippopotamus are often seen during dry weather periods and the bird-life is prolific. We'll supply refreshments whilst on your trip.
Champagne breakfast trails are offered for those that would like a trail with a difference. We also cater for special occasions such as birthdays, honeymoons and anniversaries. Groups of various sizes are catered for.
All riding equipment is included.

Pick Up Point & Times

Our horse trails operate on scheduled departure times for your convenience. For individual bookings, these timings are to be strictly adhered to. For group bookings, timings may be altered on request.
Departure times for the stables are:
07:00 hours, 10:30 hours, 14:30 hours and 16:00 hours. Please state your preferred time when booking.
Longer trails are available on request

What You Need To Bring With You

We suggest the following for your horse riding trip.

  • Sturdy shoes or boots
  • Long trousers
  • Long sleeved shirt
  • Sunscreen

Helmets are provided and must be worn.

The Small Print

Our Horses:
We have sixteen dedicated trail ponies, all of which are well trained and of a friendly manner. All our trail ponies are completely “elephant proof” and are used to confronting wild life.

Restrictions:
Children under the age of 16 will require written permission from a parent or guardian in order to undertake our horse back trails.
Maximum of 16 passengers per trip. Each group of 8 will be accompanied by a qualified horseman and guide.
Any client suspected of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be permitted to partake in any activity.
All clients will be required to sign and indemnity form before they can go on the trip.
Please notify us of any dietary requirements whilst booking. Failure to do so may result in your option not being available.
