If you are trying to pack in as many activities as possible into your holiday to Livingstone, join us for the LONGEST half day trip on the river! We'll collect you at 7am from your hotel where you'll be transported in comfort to the Boiling Pot where you'll receive a full safety talk before running Rapids 1-14 where you'll walk out at lunchtime, ready for other activities in the afternoon. Let the best river team on the Zambezi share with you a wonderful trip showcasing some of the best rapids on the river such as Gullivers Travels, Stairway to Heaven, Midlight Diner, Overland Truck Eater and The Mother to finish on! Enjoy a cold beer on the drive back to town.
We'll collect you from your hotel between 7.00 am and 7.30 am depending on your location in Livingstone. We'll take you to the Boiling Pot and you'll take the walk into the gorge where the rafts and rest of the guide team will be waiting. You'll receive a thorough safety talk and paddle briefing before we tackle the wonderful white water on the Mighty Zambezi. You'll get to run warm water rapids such as Stairway to Heaven, Gullivers Travels and the Midnight Diner before we get to the compulsory portage around Rapid 9. Following this, you'll get to run the extremely photgenic Overland Truck Eater, down through the Mother to our take out just above Rapid 15. Take the hike out of the gorge in time for another activity such as Livingstone Island or a sunset cruise.
Pick Up Point & Time
We will collect you from your hotel around Livingstone between 7.00 and 7.30 am. We'll have you back in town by 2:30pm
Lunch will be provided along with cold drinks at the top of the gorge on the way back into town.
What You Need To Bring With You
We suggest the following for your trip.
- Water bottle
- Swimsuit and or shorts
- Chums to secure glasses
- T shirt or long sleeved shirt for sun protection
- Thermal top for trips in August
- Sunscreen and lipbalm (guides will have drybag for this)
- Sturdy shoes or sandals. We suggest Chaco or Keen

Photos & Video: This can generally be purchased after your trip.
All guides are fully certified and trained in river running, first aid and swiftwater recue.
A satelite Phone, comprehensive first aid kit and stretcher are carried on all trips
We strongly recommend Travel Insurance from your home country in the unlikely even you are injured and need to return home.
All clients will be required to sign and indemnity form before they can go on the river.
Please notify us of any dietary requirements whilst booking. Failure to do so may result in your option not being available.

Dates & Prices
Our trips run daily in the low water season which runs approximately from early August until end of January. Before and after these dates, there is a high water option, which is a shorter trip and starts at Rapid number 11. If you can plan your trip to coincide with low water, you'll be rewarded with one of the best one day whitewater rafting runs anywhere in the world.
Our trips run during the low water season with a minimum of 6 guests and a maximum of 24 guests per trip. Please let us know where you are staying upon booking so we can arrange your transfer. All this information can be added on our secure booking engine. All payments are taken in UK pounds

Half Day Morning Rafting Trip
What You Should Bring
We find most of our clients have in their posession already what is needed for a rafting trip.
- A pair of Chacos or similar sandals. Trainers are also okay.
- A pair of River shorts or swimming costume.
- Long sleeved business shirt to wear under your life jacket to keep off the sun.
- A baseball cap for under the helmet to keep sun off.
- Chums for fastening your sunglasses to your head.
- Nalgene or similar water bottle. The guides will have drinking water on the raft.
- Carabiner for fastening water bottle to your boat.
- Waterproof sunscreen and lip balm SPF15 minimum.
- A GoPro camera is excellent to attach to your helmet for those memorable shots.
